Guitarist starting a band

Looking to start a band to play some of the songs I’ve written for guitar, bass, drums, and write some new ones too. They sound like Guided By Voices, Brian Eno, and Beta Band, and some of my other influences are My Bloody Valentine, The Breeders, Swirlies, and Wire. Other artists I really enjoy listening to are Glenn Branca, Rhys Chatham, Stereolab, Philip Glass, Sonic Youth, The Feelies, The Replacements, Wipers, Lou Reed, and The Beach Boys. I have a drum set, small guitar amp, and a bass amp, and a decent sized music space at home in Sunnyside, Queens off the 7 or the M/R train. I’m a grad student studying cancer biology, I’m 34, hispanic, and just looking for a creative outlet and easy going musician friends. Prefer local people or people that don’t mind traveling to Sunnyside to jam at least for now. Looking for a bassist (or guitarist) and drummer. I sing and play mostly red Fender guitars.
