Looking for an older guitarist (40s, 50s) to complete a three-piece punk band in the metro area. We play original material in the same ballpark as Misfits, Fear and Black Flag. And I really can’t stress this enough- power chords only! If we hear major, minor, anything suspended or augmented, or any other high-fallutin’ fancy-shmancy chords, we are going to break your guitar over your go**amn head. And do I even need to say this? If you don’t understand how crucial gain/distortion is then please stay home with your Pink Floyd cover band. And don’t worry, when the time comes you’ll get your guitar solos- as long as they sound like they’re being played by a mental patient grabbing hold of an electric eel. Keep it in the right key, that’s all we ask. Otherwise, go nuts. If anyone is crazy enough to respond to this ad, we will throw together a backing track (drums and bass) and send it to you. You play over the top of it and send it back. (Bonus points for a decent recording!) The meaner you sound, the better.
