Come hear what changes are occurring in Law Enforcement, learn more about your local Police Departments and ask questions. Bridging the Gap is a program that will focus on providing current information on the challenges of law enforcement, the changes in law enforcement, and showing the public what Officers face day in and day out on the streets. Many people don’t get factual information about the things that occur everyday on the streets within their community that involve their officers. It is time Police departments start communicating face to face with the public and share their message, and above all, educate the public on how and why law enforcement does the things they do. It is time to have two-way conversations about the issues in Law Enforcement today. Putting information out through social media is good, but it doesn’t give the opportunity to educate the public on why officers do certain things. Being educated about something is the best way to understand how and why it works.
