Don Bosco Dreams 2021 benefiting the family service and education programs of the Don Bosco Center of Port Chester Please join us for a special evening celebrating the capacity of community2021 HonoreesCarmen Lopez de Liñero, Marielis Arias, Maria Guadalupe Novoa, Don Bosco Soup Kitchen and Food PantryElexa Wilson, Sacred Heart Academy Peter Hooper, Iona Preparatory SchoolAlthough our doors were forced to close for regular activities for18 months during the pandemic, the Don Bosco Community Center continued to meet the needs of many Port Chester families. Our soup kitchen and food pantry transitioned immediately to providing daily take home meals, grocery bags for local families, and weeknight Dinners To Go for our school-aged children. This Fall we have re-opened our doors! We welcome back our children for after school programs that will focus on education, imaginative play and enrichment, all following NY state COVID-19 safety guidelines. Port Chester’s first community center, Don Bosco has been an agent of transformation for youth for more than 80 years. Our mission involves forming a community geared to the education of the young – moral, spiritual and intellectual. We are animators who meet each child where they are in life and accompany them with enthusiasm towards a love of learning, service and gospel ideals.
