HAITIANBEATZ 13TH ANNIVERSARY 'LE NOIR AFFAIRE': CELEBRATING "LE JACOBINNOIR" The year 2021, as HB has done in the past 12 years, we will celebrate our successes. This yearly celebration has always been an extraordinary event. For all that have attended this event in past years, this fete has always been an experience. The “experience” has always been in part due to Jean Price Vixamar. Some call him JacobinNoir, others drop the Noir and just call him Jacobin/Jaco, while close ones call him Jean Jean. I call him my brother, best friend, my mon konpè and he was my business partner and confident. This year, HB’s 13th Anniversary will be celebrated without Jaco’s physical presence. Jacobin shocked all of us and left this physical earth us on December 26, 2021, but I will do my best to live up to the standard that he left behind for HB. HB is Makak and Jaco’s venture. We worked hard to make HB the #1 source for all things Haitian in the diaspora. HB’s coverage on various topics has garnered notoriety in the mainstream news media. Our site has been cited as the authoritative source on major entertainment Haitian news from outlets such as MTVnews.com, The Rolling Stones, Billboard.com just to name a few. HB’s anniversary is slated to be the event of the year and the experience will be epic. Jacobin was a father, son, and a peaceful man of the people. He was involved in several organizations, and he dedicated his time to their causes. To that end, we are embarking on a fundraising weekend, where some of the proceeds will be donated to some named organizations in the Jacobin’s name.
