Join us for a community conversation with IPS Board Commissioners Evan Hawkins, Susan Collins, and Kenneth Allen. Hosted by EmpowerED Families, Indianapolis Collective Impact Council, and the Well Life Society Dinner and childcare are provided We are EmpowerED Families and we are fighting for equitable funding in education for all students. Our mission is to build family power through relationships while rallying behind the strengths of parents to weave together the home, school, and community to fight for high quality education. Indianapolis Collective Impact Council's mission is to assist communities that are in poverty and that have lack. We build those areas into a healthy and thriving community for those residents of that community. We pull all resources. We are not locked in on one area. It is the job of the Residents and Stakeholders to accomplish this action! Well Life Society's mission is to create connections for healthy living naturally and spiritually; through integration of wellness lifestyle practices, advocacy, community building, faith-based co-action and community training. In this community conversation, parents will come together in fellowship and to share their concerns. State funding cuts to IPS has caused unimaginable consequences, such as lack of transportation and insufficient resources for school buildings, staff, and teachers. IPS Board Members Hawkins and Collins will share their vision for IPS and ways they can address parent's concerns. The purpose of this community conversation is to have solid, actionable next steps that are in solidarity with parents and students' needs through accountability in the IPS School Board and our elected officials. We need your voice! Parents and concerned community members, even if you are not a parent, you are welcome to join us.
