Explore the wine of Galicia, a region in northwestern Spain, with Bridgeview wine-expert Anita Bender Rolling hills, winding rivers, and lush vegetation mark out the landscape of Galicia, a region often referred to as “green Spain." Situated in the northwest corner of the country, sitting like a hat on top of Portugal, Galicia has a wine culture that is distinct from the rest of Spain. With cooler, ocean-influenced weather, different grapes and wine styles thrive here, often with a lighter, brighter aspect than is found in wines from other Spanish regions. In this class, our own wine expert Anita Bender will take you on a journey through Galician wine, from the popular Albariño of Rías Baixas to the breathtaking vineyards of Ribera Sacra to the historic region of Ribeiro. You do not want to miss the chance to explore these unique and delicious wines. COVID-19 Protocols: While we are excited to resume hosting events, we are aware of the risk that remains from COVID-19.
