Kick Off Fundraising Event My name is Liz Liles, and I am running for mayor of the city of Greenville, N.C. I need your help in creating a community that will see all small businesses, families and neighborhoods supported, thriving and prosperous. Throughout the past seven years, I have been on the front lines of service in this city, serving as the founder/CEO of the nonprofit Daughters of Worth. Serving the people of this community in this boots-on-the-ground capacity has provided me with a unique and very real lens to truly see the barriers, needs and gaps our neighborhoods face. It has also helped me understand the incredible strength and resilience of this wonderful city. I know that as we come together as ONE Greenville, we can build more spaces of belonging, inclusion, equity and equality – a place where every single person and business has the opportunity to prosper and grow. In order for us to truly cultivate a community where every person is not only invited to the room – but has a space at the table where their voice can be heard – we must begin to make city-wide decisions that benefit all people.When one person opens a new business, buys a new home, develops more job skills to suit the changing tides of commerce or reenters the workforce, we all feel the ripple effect of that individual’s success. This is a collective effort – a unified approach – to ensure that the city will serve every person, every family and every business well, which will result in a community that is thriving with sustainable and long-lasting growth. I need your help to achieve this vision. I am a grassroots candidate and this is very much a grassroots campaign. I do not have the financial leverage of my opponent.
