Celebrate the return of live concerts! Choral music to inspire, restore hope and healing, and create joy, with string quintet, oboe, horn. Join the Singers of Summerville in a presentation of "Let Music Live!" featuring David L. Brunner’s “I Am in Need of Music,” “Ubi Caritas” by Ola Gjeilo, "I Hear Music in the Air/Let Music Live!" by Moses Hogan, and works by Dan Forrest, Mack Wilberg, and others.Interim music director David A. Richardson has chosen the program to provide healing texts while celebrating the vital role choral music plays in our lives. Michael Lopez will accompany the chorus, joined by an additional pianist on a four-hand piece, plus string quintet, oboe, and horn. Assistant conductor Joe Swisher will also conduct the chorus.The thirty-voice all-auditioned ensemble, founded in 2003, comprises professional and semi-professional musicians. This is the ensemble's first concert in nearly two years. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased on Eventbrite.com, at the Bethany Welcome Center, or at the door prior to the concert. All audience attendees will be required to wear a mask. Parking is available in the church lot.
