Stuck in a shelter... Set to be euthanized 10/17 8am! Adopter or foster needed ASAP! Read entire post to learn more about me! Call ) or message this page if interested. Pledges needed in case we have to find a Rescue! Hi, I'm Paloma (Compatibility with dogs unknown) I DO NOT WANT TO DIE! I am set to be euthanized Sun., Oct. 17th, at 8 am. Dogs are E-listed when they are so stressed that they can't function much longer, I am one of them! I am afraid, anxious, and stressed in here! I need a home where I can decompress, overcome my fearfulness, and work on social skills. Can you help me? Can you save my life? I am a 4-year-old, spayed, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier (74.5 lbs.). I was homeless, staying in front of a house for a few days before the homeowner brought me to the shelter. He said I was friendly with him. Once at the shelter, I became scared and fearful of the surroundings and staff. Initially, I would hide in the back of my kennel and wouldn’t come out. I wouldn’t accept treats when offered and would flail and pull when leashed. Over time, I accepted light petting and treats that were offered. Now, I will walk on a leash, but it is still scary for me. I follow some staff and will remain close, sometimes appearing to want more attention. In the shelter setting, I have exhibited a possible preference for interacting with women versus men. It is not known how I do with other dogs because medical issues within the shelter population haven’t allowed dog-to-dog assessments. I need out of this noisy, chaotic environment and into a home. I am already showing signs of wanting human interaction. I just need a calm, quiet home with an adopter or foster experienced with fearful, under-socialized dogs like me. The shelter is full, and there are no extensions! I will be put down 10/17! I am hoping I do not die in this lonely shelter! Will you be that person to save my life? Please come meet me before it is too late! Love, Paloma To meet me, please call or message us here. Dog Savers has facilitated saving the lives of 400 E-listed since its inception. A small percent of the donations goes to our operating costs to help these dogs get out alive. Let’s keep working together to save lives!! My ID is #A4627826...you'll need that if you want to save me. I am in Phoenix, AZ.
