Let me start by saying I love Max sooo much!!!! I am going to miss him, BIG TIME! He is also attached to my kids and I. Max is a beautiful Australian Shepherd Border Collie Mix. He follows basic commands, but does get a little excited when playing with other dogs and sometimes forgets. Usually if you pull out a treat that can be settled. Max loves the beach and trails but not walking through town so much because cars make him anxious.Something we have been working on. He does not mind riding in cars. I walk him on a leash but he does pull when he sees other dogs. We have been working really hard on “good boy leave it” and he is making progress quickly. He gets along with most other dogs but can be a little to energetic for some. I let him meet other dogs on the leash and then let him off on a dog to dog basis. He loves to chase because he is a herding breed. He really wants a job and is protective. Max is a little jumpy and does not like surprises, big objects, or loud noises. I think an ideal candidate would be someone who will be able to give Max a lot of attention and lots of walks. He needs to be walked everyday, or at least most days. He needs someone who has experience with dogs because it will take a little while to establish a good relationship and Max will be a little anxious at first with his new digs.
