Found cat - white/brown shorthair

We found a cat running across a busy street toward the Safeway shopping center parking lot off Commerce Blvd a couple nights ago. He had no collar and, turns out, no microchip. Really hoping to reunite him with his home. He seems well taken care of, perhaps an indoor cat that escaped?
