Press release from the City of Gig Harbor: October 14, 2021 ANCICH WATERFRONT PARK ADVANCED MITIGATION | PL-SDP-21-0002/PL-SPR-21-0001/PL-DR-21-0114/PL-FLOOD-21-0001/PL-SEPA-21-0002 The project proposal consists of the demolition of a creosote-treated timber pier, topped with a solid asphalt decking, as advanced mitigation for a future Fishing Homeport on the property. Demolition will include the removal of the pier's asphalt decking and the removal of 32 creosote-treated timber piles. The proposed site improvements will reduce overwater coverage in the amount of 1,558.5 square feet. Pile removal will be completed from a barge using a vibrator hammer.
