Description
Pedal steel player available in West Seattle.
Started playing pedal steel about 6 months before covid hit.....
Well, addiction is real. I have been wood shedding and I need to start playing out.
Looking for Americana, Alt country, old school country.....Very open to what is considered Americana.
Would really enjoy working on covers with any size ensemble.
Can fill in or double on Mandolin, B-bender guitar, Banjo, basically anything with strings if needed. For masochists, I can bring in some accordion. Really want to focus on pedal steel.
Stuff I have been enjoying lately that has pedal steel:
Scott Hirsch, Wilco, SonVolt, Jay Som, Faye Webster, My Morning Jacket, Byrds (b-bender stuff too), Jayhawks, Buck Owens, Field Guides, M Ward, Jason Isbell, That Texas Sun album with Leon Bridges and Kruangbin, Cass McCombs, Pavement (Father to a Sister of Thought), Ohia, Calexico, Daniel Romano, Neko Case, Sam Evian, Flying Burrito Brothers, Father John Misty, Willy Nelson (More than one way to cry), Caroline Rose, Orville Peck, Daniel Lanois, Caitlin Rose, Margo Price.... Crap, there is just too much. I could keep going. Sorry if I didn't mention your favorite band.
Alternatively, if you are too far away, or just on the other side of our non-functional West Seattle Bridge, I have a full studio running 32 in/out ProTools HD and can lay down pedal steel on whatever tracks you have. Let me know what you like. Mix and mastering available. Sliding scale or pay what you can. Project dependant.
To get in touch, respond with how many pedal steel guitars you see in the first picture.
Former pro musician with a day job and family. Can't deal with Bro-Country or hick-hop....
Thanks for looking. : )
