Press release from The Woodlands Township: October 13, 2021 THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (October 13, 2021) – The Woodlands Township is recruiting candidates for volunteer positions on The Woodlands Development Standards Committee for 2022. The Development Standards Committee is an architectural design and review group that considers and acts upon requests for variances from property owners as well as considers appeals of the decisions made by Residential Design Review Committees. The Committee is also responsible for adopting rules and regulations regarding the administration, interpretation and enforcement of The Woodlands Covenants, Restrictions, Easements, Charges and Liens. The Development Standards Committee typically meets on the first and third Wednesday evenings of every month. The Committee also meets jointly with other committees about four times a year. The appointees are required to have experience in architecture, engineering, contracting, building code enforcement or a related field and will serve a two-year term. Applications are available at 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard or on The Woodlands Township website. The deadline for submittal is Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 5 p.m. All applications must be received, not postmarked, by the deadline. Resumes noting training or experience in related fields will also be considered.   Applicants are invited to attend the Woodlands Township Board of Directors meeting to address the Board on November 17, 2021, at 6 p.m. Appointments to the Committee are scheduled for the December 1, 2021, Board of Directors meeting.  Qualified applicants can apply for consideration online now.
