Small construction company located in Oakley that is looking for someone who is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operation at a construction site. General Laborer: Duties and responsibilities for a general laborer on any given day may include but are not limited to: • Cleaning and preparing construction sites. • Loading and unloading materials and equipment. • Trenching, raking and shoveling. • Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans Foreman/ Equipment operator: The Forman/operator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations at a work site to ensure the completion of projects are in a safe and efficient manner. Duties and responsibilities for a foreman/ operator include but are not limited to: • Serve as crew leader in the field • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate • Work with crew when not operating equipment • Clean and maintain equipment • Safely and skillfully operates loaders, mini excavators, skid steers and other related construction equipment • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors • Coordinate machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals • Follow safety standards • Performs other duties as assigned Requirements: • Ability to meet the physical demand of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads, etc.) • Familiarity of power tools and machinery is a plus • Communication and teamwork skills • Commitment to safety rules Schedule: Monday- Friday some Saturdays.
