Here are the top stories today in Des Moines: An Urbandale man is in the Polk County Jail charged with sexually abusing a 4-year-old girl. Andrew Schoney, 18, was booked Tuesday on two counts of second-degree sex abuse. Court documents show the abuse happened between January and May when his victim was 3 years old. (KCCI Des Moines)Police say 25-year-old Trevin Nicholson is charged with First Degree Murder. Twenty-six-year-old Danielle Obrecht is charged with Child Endangerment Causing Death. Nicholson was arrested in Colorado and is awaiting extradition to Iowa. Obrecht is being held in the Story County Jail. First responders were called to the 12-hundred block of Florida Avenue on April 24th, 2021 because of a medical issue involving a toddler. The child was air-lifted to a Des Moines hospital in critical condition and died Sunday, April 25th.
