ASBURY PARK, NJ – An application to add a third floor at the site of former restaurants Trinity & The Pope and Skratch will not be heard as Thursday night's scheduled meeting of the Asbury Park planning board was canceled. According to board secretary Irina Gasparyan, the reason for the meeting cancellation was due to a lack of quorum. The application schedule for the meeting was to hear about a proposal to add a third story onto the existing two-story building on 649 Mattison Avenue, which has been the home to many restaurants over the years and will be home to Asbury Park's newest pizzeria, Killer Pies. According to the application, which was filed by lawyers representing building owners Sackman Enterprises, the plan is to add a third floor, just for offices, along with an elevator shaft with a single elevator that travels between the first and third floors. There would also be a new glass storefront added. The next planning board meeting is scheduled for Monday, Oct, 18 at 7 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers.
