PITTSBURGH, PA — Dozens of dogs and cats, two of which required emergency care, were rescued Wednesday from a residence in the 300 block of Linnview Avenue in Carrick. Pittsburgh police animal law officers, city animal care and control and Humane Animal Rescue removed 26 small breed dogs and 13 cats from the home. Two dogs were reported in poor condition and were treated. The dogs were taken to Humane Animal Rescue on the North Side. The cats were transported to the organization's shelter in the East end.
