JOLIET, IL — Joshua Radetski, a 46-year-old website developer for Peppler & Associates facing charges from Joliet police of indecent solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a minor, wants a Will County judge to lower his bail that currently stands at $500,000. Radetski has remained in the Will County Jail since his arrest in the business plaza in the 3100 block of West Jefferson Street on the night of Oct. 7. The Save Our Siblings organization helped Joliet police detectives make the arrest. The criminal complaint states that Radetski traveled from Lake Zurich to Joliet, expecting to have sexual relations with a 16-year-old girl he thought he had met online. Instead, it was the leader of the Save Our Siblings organization who showed up, the criminal complaint noted. From inside his cell at the Will County Jail, Radetski hired long-time downtown Joliet criminal defense attorney Steven Haney to represent him. On Wednesday, Haney filed a motion asking that a judge lower his client's bail. Haney's motion stated that Radetski lives in Lake Zurich with his wife of 20 years and their 11-year-old son. Radetski also has no prior criminal history, Haney noted. He remains gainfully employed with Peppler & Associates, a computer software company in Barrington, where he has worked for the past 10 years, court documents state. Radetski "seeks a more reasonable bond amount, which shall assure his appearance at all further court proceedings with any other conditions of bond the court believes to be reasonable," Haney's motion argues. "The defendant respectfully requests the court grant his motion to reduce bail." The Save Our Siblings organization was also involved in helping Joliet police arrest and file felony charges against Joliet Weather Center founder and St. Joseph's Catholic School teacher Jeremy Hylka. In May, Hylka was arrested by Joliet police on five felony charges in connection with allegations that Hylka went to the McDonald's in Joliet expecting to meet up with a 15-year-old boy for oral sex inside Hylka's vehicle. After Hylka spent several days in a psychiatric hospital, the New Lenox resident surrendered to Joliet police and never spent one day in the Will County Jail. At the time of his surrender, Hylka posted 10 percent of his bail, which had been set at $100,000, which is five times lower than the bail currently set for Radetski. Jeremy Hylka's bail was set at $100,000 at the time of his arrest by Jolliet police in May. Mugshot via Joliet police
