Here are the top stories in Duluth today: New complex, Everleigh Duluth, is now offering contemporary-styled active living apartments for adults 55 and older. The complex is brought to you by a company called Greystar, who is known for bringing a unique and valuable experience to the real estate industry. The complex will be located near the Duluth town green, and will be in partnership with Sugarloaf Golf Course. (McDuffie Progress)Gwinnett County police are on the search for a man accused of shooting and killing a woman and leaving her to lay dead inside her Gwinnett home. There is no information about the woman who was shot, but the suspect is 45-year-old Corey Dowell. If you have any information on his whereabouts, reach out to our local Crime Stoppers. (WSB Atlanta) Governor Brian Kemp has appointed former long-term Gwinnett school superintendent, J. Alvin Wilbanks, to the Georgia Public Telecommunications Commission. This comes after Wilbanks retired in July after the school board narrowly voted to dismiss his contract with a payout of over $500,000. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution) Several Gwinnett County animal shelters are celebrating Adopt-A-Shelter Dog Month throughout the month of October.
