Maddox says Johnson has worked for the City of Tuscaloosa since 2016 in the Office of the City Attorney, as the Assistant City Clerk, and as the Acting City Clerk since August of 2021.
"We are very excited to have Brandy as the newest department head at the City of Tuscaloosa," Maddox said. "In her time at the City, she has proven to be a difference-maker and she is highly qualified to serve in this role."
As Patch previously reported, Standridge was named the city's acting chief finance officer beginning on Aug. 13 and vacated her city clerk's position, before being named to the position in a permanent capacity.
