JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A recent study by financial website SmartAsset ranks Pinson among the most affordable cities in Alabama. Pinson was one of two Jefferson County cities on the list. SmartAsset weighed several factors, including taxes, homeowners' insurance and home costs relative to the local median income to determine where home ownership costs were lowest.
