Good morning, Atlanta! Here's everything you need to know to get this Friday started off right. First, today's weather: Sunny and humid. High: 84 Low: 66. Here are the top stories in Atlanta today: One of Atlanta's top industries may be going dark. The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers is threatening a strike if their demands for better working conditions are not met by the end of Sunday. Film crews have already walked off a film set in Midtown on Wednesday. "We are being overworked, with no breaks, we are tired all the time and we just want to be able to do the job that we love doing," film crew member Alana Knutson said. (CBS46 News Atlanta)This is not a pleasant story. Stink bugs will be descending on Atlanta this winter. But, leave them alone because one stomp of your foot can ... well, you can guess what that will smell like. Stink bugs can emit a noxious odor and the orange staining fluid. They feed on plant pests — especially aphids. But they can also invade buildings in large numbers. (Atlanta Patch)Ever notice a large, nondescript 420-foot tower near the Truist Park, the home of the Atlanta Braves? It's an elevator test tower. At 420-feet, it's the tallest building in Cobb County and the tallest of its kind in North America. The tower's creator, TK Elevator, will be moving its corporate offices from Alpharetta to The Battery in Cobb County. Earlier this week executives showed off their new $200 million headquarters. She will discuss plans to flip a giant parking deck in downtown into a massive development site. The Centennial Yards Redevelopment Project has been in development for years near the city's two largest sports venues: State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The $42-million, 50-acre development is set to include affordable housing, economic development and workforce training. (WSB Atlanta) Add a supermodel to a design venture and people will notice. The grand opening of their new Atlanta City Center showroom was announced by the Spanish company Cosentino Group and Cindy Crawford. The firm distributes innovative architectural surfaces. Crawford was among those who led a tour of the new Cosentino facility, which has gotten reviews as an innovative, high-test showroom, only the second of its kind in North America. Cosentino's other North American showroom is located in Chicago. (CBS46 News Atlanta) Today's Atlanta Daily is brought to you by Verizon, a Patch Brand Partner.
