Full Job Description
The typical site supervisor will have the following responsibilities:
-Coordinate, supervise and schedule all Subcontractors as to ensure all projects are completed as scheduled.
-Work with subcontractors and understand their scope of work.
-Review estimates and compare to plans and specs to verify quantities and materials.
-Draft and respond to RFIs, Submittals and Change Orders.
-Plan, coordinate, and oversee commercial construction and renovation of build-outs.
-Schedule and manage subcontractors, contractors, vendors, and various trade workers.
-Report on the progress of the project to the owner and local officials as needed.
-Schedule inspections with town officials, as needed.
-Ensure the project construction is following the plans and specifications including building standards and regulations.
-Assist Project Manager with planning the job per customer speculation
-Monitor the progress of the construction schedule and performance of subcontractors
-Educate site workers on safety procedures at the site and ensure they adhere to strict safety standards
-Perform light carpentry and demolition as needed.
-Maintain good relationship with site workers, suppliers, and customers
-Attend weekly progress meetings (in person or via zoom)
The ideal L&F candidate will have the following qualifications:
-Minimum of five years in the construction industry with leadership experience
-Excellent organizational skills
-Must be able to multitask and prioritize
-Computer proficient with MS Excel, Project, Word and project management software
-Great verbal and communication skills
-Must be able to read Gantt charts, blueprints, and spec sheets
