There is no chainsaw in the world, that would cut down a large tree, using battery power. This is technology that doesn't yet exist, but the Democrats are demanding it. A good-sized chainsaw with a 36" bar, capable of cutting down a tree that is 3 to 4 feet in diameter, weighs approximately 25 to 30 pounds. There are NO hand-held, battery-powered, electric motors right now, that would be able to pull a 36" chainsaw bar. If there was one, the motor would weight at least 40 pounds or more, while the battery pack would add another 50-80 pounds. So basically, if you want to cut down a decent sized tree, you'd need well over 100 pounds of equipment to get it done. Not gonna happen, when you're out in the woods, 10 miles from the nearest road. And then, the battery pack is only good for maybe an hour's worth of cutting time, before it has to be re-charged. AND, when you're working 10 miles from the nearest road, how are you going to RE-CHARGE your batteries?? A fossil-fueled generator of course !! What we're talking about is basically Mission Impossible. You can't do any kind of logging or forest clearing, with battery powered equipment. If Newsom has even one brain cell in that pretty little head, he knows this won't work. But he really doesn't give a shit whether it'll work or not, because he's scoring points with the radical socialists just for the lip service. OH, the Democrat/Socialists are trying to REDUCE CO2 in the atmosphere? Check the last graph. Problem solved.
