Very busy interior design company looking to add to our installation staff. This is a physical job and requires someone who is willing to work in any condition. Work schedule is Monday through Friday with very occasional weekends. Normal hours are 8:30am – 5:30pm most days. There is no guarantee of a certain number of hours, however we average 8-hour work days 4 days per week during normal business circumstances with occasional overtime. Due to the current pandemic, we cannot guarantee full time hours every week. Must be able to travel out of town overnight - up to 50 to 60% a month during the week for multiple days (typically 2 to 4 days during the week, lodging and food paid for by the company). Must have reliable transportation to our office in Raleigh, a valid drivers license, internet access, and a smartphone. Starting Pay Rate: $15 to $20 per hour, depending on experience; room to grow beyond for the right candidate. Overtime paid at time and a half for any hours over 40 per week. Position Summary: ‪Installer will be responsible for providing installation services for our clients, which includes working with team leads, designers, and other employees to move and install household furniture for interior design projects. We are looking for a business-minded, professional candidate to represent our business out in the field. Recent college grads are great candidates! Future growth opportunities are available within the company for project, installation, and warehouse management positions. We are looking for a smart, articulate, motivated self-starter who is willing to learn and work hard in a rewarding environment! ‪ Skills/Requirements - ‪Must have excellent interpersonal and customer support skills - Must have experience using common hand tools - Must be able to work well with others and take direction from Management Team ‪- Must be able to read and understand directions for assembling furniture and have general knowledge of using tools (hammer, screwdrivers, electric drills, etc.). We will train the right person in all aspects of our installation procedures ‪- Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team - Must have GED or high school degree - Must be willing to undergo a background check - Must be a citizen of the US ‪ Work Environment/Physical Demands ‪- Stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting, lifting 70lbs or more (frequently), moving furniture, including up and down stairs - Our work includes moving furnishings from our warehouse into vehicles and delivering them into our client locations regardless of weather conditions - ‪Will be required to climb and descend ladders when assisting with installation of window treatments and artwork ‪Will be using basic tools (e.g. hammers, box cutter, screw drivers, power drills (provided)) that will require the full use of hands/fingers to operate COVID-19 considerations: We strongly encourage all of our employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
