Position Overview The Crate builder builds custom crates for shipment of products. Using a variety of saws, nail guns, staple guns, etc. Also responsible for building shipping crates that withstand the rigors of international shipping. Essential Job Functions • Carpentry skills required, safe operation of power tools, saws and equipment required, • Forklift certification preferred but will train if necessary. • Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience, • Demonstrated computer knowledge, • Must be able to communicate, ability to set priorities, plan and organize and work under pressure to meet deadlines. • Must be able to work in TEAM environment. Supervisory Responsibility • N/A Work Environment 1. Office 0% Production/Warehouse floor 100% Physical Demands • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs. • Able to stand 8 – 10 hours/day • Must demonstrate good hand/eye coordination; must demonstrate good manual dexterity • Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts. Position Type and Expected hours of work • Full time • Hourly • Monday – Thursday 5:00 am – 3:30 pm (4 - 10 hour shifts) Required Education and Experience 1. Level 1 • High school graduate or GED • 1+ years of directly related manufacturing experience 2.
