A local golf course in San Clemente is seeking two entry-level groundskeepers to join their team at least through the end of 2021. The schedule is Monday-Friday 5am-2pm and Friday 5am-11am, although part-time applicants may be considered. The pay is $17-$18/hour. Groundskeeper Responsibilities:  * Perform a variety of basic maintenance and upkeep of the golf course * Operate pneumatic devices and hand tools * Clean and maintain equipment * Edges, rakes, and maintains sand bunkers * Pull weeds around bushes, trees, and shrubs * Dig trenches, load and unload trucks  * Maintain records and log of all work performed * Performs basic repairs and paints benches, tables and other items * Trims hedges and prunes trees and bushes using hand and power tools * Clean buildings and grounds * Waters trees, greens and other areas Must be able to: * Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing * Perform heavy manual labor * Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work of golf course grounds * Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time and in unfavorable weather conditions * Submit to and pass a background check This position will place candidates in a good position to apply for city positions as they become available.
