We now know without the shadow of a doubt that border walls do not work. Many people are capable of simply climbing over the wall. Many others are capable of climbing over the wall with a simple rope. People are making simple ladders to climb over the wall. People are using $150 power saws to cut through the wall. More importantly. The vast majority of immigrants that enter the U.S. are traveling through underground tunnels built by the drug cartels. There are dozens if not hundreds of these tunnels in operation at any given time. New tunnels are being built at any given moment. These tunnels are several miles long and extremely difficult to detect. Drug cartels charge a fee for people who want to use them to enter the U.S. So in reality, the border wall is generating HUGE profits for drug cartels. The border wall empowers and enriches some of the most violent criminals on the planet. If we spent half the cost of the border wall on more border patrol agents, it would be 4x more effective. Trump is an idiot for trying to build this wall. The wall has never been anything more than a symbolic gesture. Trump attempted (and failed) to build this wall out of pure spite because the world laughed at him when he suggested it during the 2016 campaign. Trump attempted to build the wall because he was embarrassed by his own idiotic idea. P.S. Mexico never payed a dime for building the wall. One more Trump failed promise.
