HICKORY GOLF! Maplewood Golf Course November 26, 2021 10:07 am first starting time Instead of sitting around and watching football get outside and enjoy a round of hickory golf. This will be our fourth annual Black Friday Event.  The first starting time is 10:07 a.m. and the team format will be best-2-net of each foursome.  The cost of green fees is $29 (less for Seniors) and a $10 buy-in fee (separate from greens fee) payable at the event.  The registration deadline is Monday November 22.  28 SPACES AVAILABLE ONLY.  Maplewood golf course has been known for really good green in the winter. We had a full field last year so register now! After a successful three day event in the Portland area in July of 2013, the group was officially organized as the Northwest Hickory Players on January 1, 2014 following a round at ChambersBay. The goal of this group is to preserve and promote hickory golf in the traditions of bygone days when golfers, wearing knickers and other period clothing, played with brassies, spoons mashies and niblicks. We’re all about hickory golf.  That’s it.  No modern events, no hybrid events, just pre-1935 hickory play for the love of the game.  We invite players from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia to join us by contacting one of us below.  Loaner/rental sets available too!  We have plenty.  Come, join us! www.nwhickoryplayers.org
