An event dedicated to how awesome your body is, with the goal to learn how you can better connect with and love your body. This past year and a half has been full of changes and transitions. This includes, for many, our relationship with our body and the love we hold for ourselves. We have been hearing from members and clients that they feel disconnected from their bodies and not satisfied with how they look or feel. We are here to remind you how awesome your body is and ways that we can continue to connect with and love our bodies. This event has activities for those of all ages, we encourage the whole family to come and play. To keep everyone in our community safe, masks will be required at this event, whether inside or outside. This event is put on by Experience Momentum’s Nutrition Department and Sponsored by Opal. At this event you can come and go as your please from 10am - 2pm and engage with the booths that are designed for you to re-connect with and love your body. Some of the booths are listed below. OPAL’S BOOTH Get Information on local services including breaking free from diet culture, disordered eating, & more. Join in on some Loving Your Body activities. A THANK YOU LETTER Write a thank you letter to your body for all the amazing things it allows you to do every day. MINDFUL EATING Learn the art of Mindful Eating, take the time to learn why you love the foods you do and how you can slow down and cherish them. MASSAGE THERAPY Take a moment to stop and get a chair massage from our Massage Therapists, take this time to feel good in your body. JOYFUL MOVEMENT With our Fitness Staff, learn functional ways to move your body in a way that brings your joy. PHYSICAL THERAPY Stop at this booth to get mobile before Joyful Movement or ask a Doctor of Physical Therapy a question you might have.
