Local rescue needs foster home for Oreo, cute Boxer/Pointer mix

A local non-profit (501c3) animal rescue needs a foster home for Oreo! We will provide a dog crate, dog food, collar, leash and any other items he may need in foster care. The foster's only responsibility is to provide a safe haven for Oreo until he finds his forever home--but his arrival time and departure time will be determined by the foster. Boxer/English Pointer mix 1 year old, 53 pounds Neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative. Oreo is one of those dream dogs who loves everyone and vice versa! He was pulled from Lee County Animal Control in Sanford, NC, on his last day, and was a shelter favorite because of his great disposition and friendly manner. He totally rocked his tests with other dogs. The shelter staff said he was so good with all the dogs with whom he was tested. He is also good in a crate--goes in easily after his play sessions and is very quiet. Rarely barks at anything. Need a hug? Oreo is glad to oblige but only when he is invited! He is very mannerly and polite. He loves meeting new people and sharing his affection. Just an all around wonderful pet! He is being fostered in Raleigh, NC, but has been neutered at the NC State Veterinary School, and he will be transported to Hampton Roads as soon as possible!
