Manhattan based Renovation Company needs a top-notch Bookkeeper/Accountant who is ready to move to the next level. If you want to be a bookkeeper forever, then this position is NOT for you. We are looking for someone who has the experience (4 years min), the technical skills (must be computer savvy and open to learning new software), the accounting skills (you need to understand Journal Entries, how to work the GL and the accounting implications), strong financial reporting experience and the smarts to learn our systems, master our books, and eventually head our accounting department (as Controller). QuickBooks experience a must, but you will not be working in QuickBooks. You also should have experience using another accounting platform. Construction or Renovation accounting experience helpful, but not critical. You need to be very detailed and work well both alone and with others. We are a leader in Manhattan renovations for over 20 years and we are growing at a very fast rate. We are located West of Times Square. This is a full-time on-site position, no working from home.
