Full size trees should not be larger than 9 feet tall. Please secure all lights and ornaments with wire as the tree will need to be moved. Please glue metal caps to ornaments. For stability when moving the trees, please use a sturdy tree stand. It is also a good idea to create a support of rebar that extends up the trunk of the tree. It can be attached with hose clips. Please provide an extension cord and power strip – just for the display. These items will be returned to you. Please mark them clearly with your name and phone number. All items displayed around the tree will be included in the bids for the tree. This includes the tree stand and the tree skirt.Trees will need to be on display at the business location by Monday, November 22nd. They will remain on display there through Friday, December 3rd.If your tree is on display at a business that is not on Commercial St., it is your decision if you would like to move it to Commercial St. Friday afternoon 12/3. Because of the festivities on Commercial St. that day, it will more likely receive higher bids and more votes for the “People’s Choice Award”, but we understand that it may be difficult to move the tree, so you will not be required to do that. The Chamber of Commerce will provide a small stamp for you to use on the “Christmas Passports” that people will bring when they come to view your tree. Also a drop box for completed “passports”.We have asked that the highest bidder for each tree/house pick up the item by Monday 12/6. Payment for the bid will be given to the Chamber of Commerce and 100% of the proceeds will be given to local Families in need.Don’t forget that this is a charitable gift and, therefore, is a tax deductible item for your business. Vendor BoothsVendor Booths will run throughout the entire event until the Tree Lighting. Booths will be located outside on Commercial Street. Vendors need to provide their own tables, chairs, canopies, heaters, etc. More information will come as we get closer to the event. Spaces will be 10x10 outside on the street. Set up will be an hour before the event starts. Cars/Trucks will need to move off-street before the street closes prior to the event starting. The Vendor Fee includes the City Temporary Business License. If you already have a city business license we will reimburse you the fee. Gingerbread House ContestPlease register before the day of the event. Space is limited so please register before the deadline. You will need to bring your gingerbread houses the day of the event at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
