We are looking for a dog walker/petsitter to join the Philadelphia Barking Authority team! If you love animals, enjoy working outdoors, and appreciate a flexible schedule, then this is the job for you! While we have fun and love our jobs, this is still hard work. Even adorable animals can require a lot of effort. Be prepared to give your best on every day. Pay varies from $12 - $20 per hour (depending on the appointments you complete). Tips and bonuses are also available, plus a $1200 sign-on bonus for staying your first year. Our average walker brings home $500 a week as an independent contractor. While this is an average, there are always opportunities to bring in more based on how many hours you would like to work We are looking for someone who lives within a few miles from the Manayunk/Bala area. Our service area straddles both sides of the Schuylkill: from Fairmount-East Falls-Manayunk-Roxborough to Overbrook-Bala-Ardmore-Bryn Mawr. IDEAL CANDIDATES SHOULD: - Have experience handling pets of all sizes. - Be in good shape. You will be walking 5-6 miles a day, in all types of weather. - Have availability weekdays and weekends. This is not a M-F 9-5 job. Our clients schedules vary and therefore so do ours. - Be extremely reliable and punctual. These pets will be depending on you. - Have reliable transportation. - Be available on holidays. You will not be working all day, but be prepared to pitch in as needed. - Have a positive attitude and be great with people. Lots of our clients are home when we come for a visit, so we need you to represent our company. - Be well organized. You will be handling keys and door codes, as well as a variable daily schedule. You must be on top of your game.
