Gerbil needs baby gerbil friend

I've had a gerbil for a year female, I was originally told she was separated from her family because she was fighting with them. I didn't ask questions at the time but now I'm wondering was she actually fighting or was it playing? Was it out of frustration from too small of a cage? Does she really not want a friend? I did research and found out that the best with a new pairing is a baby around 7 weeks. No one has one in stores. So I'm hoping someone will know anyone with one that is female that can be her friend.
