The November Man Up lunch will feature Jonny Carlson, Ut Fidem Coordinator. Man-Up West, November 2021: Ut Fidem- (Keep the Faith!) Ut Fidem is a small group ministry at Dowling Catholic High School that started in 2017. Since then, hundreds of students have participated in weekly formation with adult faith mentors who are on fire for the Catholic faith. Last year finished with 46 active small groups, which resulted in daily Mass and reconciliation numbers skyrocketing. At the close of last year daily Mass attendance was consistently 80-100 students. In keeping up with Ut Fidem alumni, it is clear that the ministry is having a lasting impact. According to a survey done by C1C Consulting, an arm of PEW Research, Ut Fidem students were 62% more likely to attend Mass 4+ times a month than non-Ut Fidem students while in college. In this way we minister to the entire spectrum of men by motivating those who are young in their faith, and encouraging those who are mature.Man-Up meets monthly at parishes around Des Moines for a meal, presentation, discussion, and fellowship.
