Kayak and Beach Clean-up on Alamitos Bay with Surfrider Foundation Long Beach Chapter Join us for our Chapter Social Saturday October 16th to clean up Alamitos Bay in partnership with Algalita Marine Research and Education. We will set up near 54th Street around Horny Corner. Bring your own kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, or any other water vessel you prefer, to clean up the Bay. If you don’t have a vessel, we have 10 double kayaks available for use at no cost to you, donated by Kayaks on the Water. Email us at [email protected] ASAP to reserve a kayak spot. Please arrive no later than 8:30 to set up your gear and meet other volunteers. We will have coffee and light snacks, but please bring your own mug! The clean up on the water will be from 9-10. We will also have folks cleaning up on the sand if you don’t want to go out on the water.
