Worthy live at Mint November 5th! “The Worthy sound has always been powerful, rocking, funky, bass - driven music at its best, and for me this is the new wave in House music.” – Carl Cox Growing up in Washington DC, Worthy was energized by the early American rave scene. Moving to New York in the late ‘90s, she was inspired by artists like LTJ Bukem & Stacey Pullen to play records across multiple genres, from techno and breaks to hip - hop and drum & bass. In 2001 she swapped coastlines to San Francisco and teamed up with Claude VonStroke & Justin & Christian Martin to establis h the Dirtybird party. Worthy’s breakout track was on Dirtybird Records in 2007 and “Irst Te” quickly established her notoriety as a producer. With other bangers on the label such as “Shy Look” (2012), “Tric Trac” with Eats Everything (2011) and “Dip” (201 3), Worthy has been rocking the Dirtybird sound for over a decade.
