Join the Charleston Gator Club for the OFFICIAL Watch Party for the LSU Tigers vs Florida Gators at Ireland's Own at 11:30 AM.
After a fairly convincing victory over Vanderbilt, the Gators hit the road again for a critical showdown with cross-division rival LSU in Baton Rouge. There's a surplus of storylines in this game, including:
-The Desperation Bowl, perhaps? Florida is looking to gain some real momentum and finish the 2021 season strong after early losses to Alabama and Kentucky dashed their SEC East hopes. Meanwhile, LSU is looking for something, anything, to go right after back-to-back losses that dropped them to 3-3 on the season- and raise questions about Ed Orgeron's job security.
-Payback Time: Florida was one game away from a true play-in game to the 2020 College Football Playoff when LSU visited the Swamp last year. Then Marco Wilson threw a shoe, and that was the end of that. Other than the venue, the scenario is fairly similar this time around, though, as LSU again finds itself reeling and down several key players.
-Road Redemption: the Gators didn't handle their last test on the road very well, committing 15 penalties and failing to reach the end zone the entire night after their first drive. They'll get another chance on Saturday in a venue that holds approximately 1.5 times as many fans as Kentucky's Kroger Field.
Can Florida earn some revenge, and a critical win that the team can build on the rest of the way? Come join us at Ireland's Own and Jagerhouse Pub a half-hour before kickoff (11:30am) so we can all watch together as a Gator community!
