We are looking for roofers in the greater Austin area to help us out with a massive contract we're getting. Our vendor is calling us practically begging us to have him give the ok for him to fill our week with work. He said "we need all the help we can get and I can fill your schedule Monday thru Sunday if your guys want to work that much." That being said, I am in desperate need to help meet these demands. The work is there gents (ladies too if you're interested no judgement here) for about 500+ houses. He tells me that there is steady work all the way into next year and then some. That way you don't have to worry about chasing work from other people because I have so much of it. What you need to do the job? If you're a roofer you know. All your tools, belts, PPE/safety items to help you be safe on a roof, ladder, nail gun, compressor, circular saw, ruler, staple, all that good stuff. Please be able to be reliable, on time, efficient, communication is a big thing for me as well. We're all adults so I don't want to baby sit you and want to build a trusting working relationship so we can make good money to provide for our families. The vendor has a thing that they that's apparently a new and cool thing they offer which are called "smart vents." They'll want us to do this after we do the tear off and replace any decking (if need to be). Basically is doing a 1 1/2" to a 2" cut around the perimeter of the roof and install a ridge vent over that so the house can "breathe" better. Now we talk about what everyone wants to hear. Due to the legal and insurance purposes of the vendor, we're NOT allowed to pay by the square. It HAS to be by the day so it'll be a day rate. They also want us to finish the houses in a strict two day time frame. The pay is Two-fifty for the crew leader and Two-hundred for each of your crew members. We'd like to have 3 people per house. Again, we understand this may come off as a lot of work to some. This is a lot of stability work as in you don't have to chase work or worry about looking for another job after you finish one job.
