LEAP'S 39TH Annual Sandcastle Classic is BACK!

The 39th Annual Leap Sandcastle Classic, an iconic San Francisco tradition, raises awareness and funds for visual and performing arts and architecture education for more than 8,500 Bay Area public school students who would otherwise go without. Annually, thousands flock to Ocean Beach to build giant sand sculptures with 100+ architecture, design, technology, engineering and construction companies in partnership with students from local public schools. The Classic will feature celebrity judges, music, food trucks and Community Castles so everyone can join in the fun, cheer on teams, and get back to the beach to support essential arts education. The Sandcastle Classic generates nearly half of Leap’s operating budget, and due to the negative funding impacts of the pandemic, Leap is challenging the public to get involved. As students re-enter the classroom, this is a critical moment in their education to engage in the arts, and we need your help! Anyone can help us BUILD by logging onto leapsandcastleclassic.org, donate, then come out and BUILD with us at the Community Castle. Where: The event will be held at Ocean Beach and Balboa, near the Cliff House, free public parking, rain or shine, MASKS REQUIRED.
