Salem Coronavirus 'Stop The Spread' Free Test Sites Extended

SALEM, MA — The state has once again extended the two free "Stop the Spread" coronavirus test sites in Salem. The drive-thru test site at Salem High School at 77 Wilson Street and the walk-up location at St. Peter's Church at 24 St. Peter Street will remain open through at least Dec. 31, 2021. The sites are in addition to the rapid test site at the Peabody Essex Museum's Connect Building that will be open through the month of October. The Salem High site will remain open from 4 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The St. Peter's site will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m on Fridays. Both sites conduct PCR tests with results emailed within one to two days. No insurance or proof of U.S. citizenship is needed for these tests.
