GREENFIELD, WI — The Greenfield Plan Commission is scheduled Tuesday to hear more about a new Dickey's Barbecue Pit location proposed for a strip mall on 76th Street. The new location would fill in a vacant space in a retail mall at 5003 S. 76th Street. It would operate all days of the week with dine-in options, carry-out and delivery from a third party, according to city documents. Dickey's Barbecue Pit has over 500 locations around the country, some of them in Wisconsin and the Milwaukee area. The fast-service barbecue joint cooks all their food fresh on site, according to the restaurant's website. Menu items include smoked brisket, macaroni and cheese, pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, kielbasa, poultry and a whole range of meats. The restaurant is being proposed for a strip mall that is not zoned for restaurants. A special exception to allow the restaurant will be considered at Tuesday's meeting and a public hearing on the restaurant could be scheduled for mid-November, city documents show. Outdoor dining and indoor dining is planned for the location.
