A little over a month ago, I found two kittens living under my porch, so I trapped them and began trying to socialize them. At first they were completely terrified, never having been handled by humans before. Little by little, I have gained their trust. Along the way, their mom joined them, so they've had the chance to get in several more weeks of motherly love as they've grown. Sage, the boy with the white nose, has become the biggest lovebug, explorer, and play buddy. He's so outgoing and has boundless energy. He would be great in an an energetic home and would do well with kids. His sister Juniper (black nose) is still very very shy, but she lets me pet her now during feedings and tentatively comes out near me to play or hang out. She will need a very calm and patient family who is willing to work with her to earn her trust, and she will need lots of hiding places. She may never be a lap cat, but she is sweet, curious, and playful in her own right. They have been spayed and neutered, received their first round of shots AND booster shots, and have been treated for mites and fleas and dewormed. FIV/leukemia negative. Kittens are about 4 months old. Indoor ONLY home -- they were rescued from the harsh life outdoors and will not be going back. A home visit, references, and $50 adoption fee per cat required.
