Wine experience preferred, but not required. Our operation consists in more than simply moving boxes and we are looking for people who are interested in learning and growing with the company in a warehouse capacity. Summary We are looking for candidates with previous warehouse experience. Wine experience preferred, but not required. Our operation consists of more than simply moving boxes and we are looking for people who are interested in learning and growing with the company in a warehouse capacity. This position will perform an array of functions that include, but are not limited to: receiving/processing incoming product and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing/organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Major Duties: Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks and checking in merchandise Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards High attention to details pertaining to receiving, picking, shipping, and general warehouse tasks. Essential Functions: Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. Assist in the counting of physical inventory. Prepare parcels for mailing/shipping. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, clean and organized. Organize the warehouse and work area. Wear the proper safety equipment. Use internal software and other computer-based tracking to assist in inventory control. Ability to stand/bend for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 50lbs. Skillset: Warehouse Associates are to be organized, reliable and dependable. Must be able to lift and move cases of wine weighing up to 50 lbs. Associates must demonstrate a good comprehension of written and spoken English, as well as the ability to read foreign and domestic wine labels (the company will train on specifics, but we expect Associates to have the basic literacy skills needed to read and understand a wine label). Desired Previous Experience: -Previous experience in warehouse or logistics work and in the wine industry -Current Forklift Certification prior to hire is desired (training will be provided for good candidates). Education and Knowledge Requirements: High school diploma Work Environment: Duties take place in an office and warehouse setting located in Sonoma, CA.
