Full-Time with Benefits!  3p-11:30 p Position Summary: Responsible for cleaning residents’ apartments and residence common areas including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, disinfecting, etc. Responsible for collecting and washing soiled laundry, linens and garments. Presses or irons as needed. Folds, sorts and distributes clean laundry. Also will perform routine maintenance and repair of residence, maintaining physical appearance of the grounds and building as well as ensuring that the building is physically sound and safe. Works with outside contractors as needed. Housekeeping Responsibilities - Common Areas Performs daily assignments as scheduled by the Director of Facilities ManagementCleans floors including vacuuming, sweeping, damp and/or wet mopping, disinfecting and carpet spot cleaningCleans or maintains, washes, polishes and sanitizes bathrooms and fixturesCleans and polishes furniture, fixtures, ledges, heating and cooling unit, mirrors, walls, etc. including administrative officesCleans windows as necessaryDiscards waste/trash into proper containers and re-lines trash receptacles on a daily basis and discards into residence dumpsterCleans kitchen areas including cabinets, countertop, sink, refrigerator, microwave, etc. Special Projects/Miscellaneous Performs special projects as assignedPerforms various maintenance projects as assigned (i.e., painting)Shampoos carpets/upholsteryStrips and waxes floorsBuffs assigned flooring on a weekly basisPerforms routine maintenance and repair as assigned Maintains, cleans and properly stores equipmentProperly labels chemicals at all timesPerforms grounds/landscaping duties as assignedResponds to staff/resident requests in a timely mannerMaintains infection control standards of practiceFills in for Environmental Services Aide I as assignedPerforms similar and other related duties as required
