Press release from the Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department: Samantha Bailey October 11th, 2021 What an incredible day for a race and way to come back to an in person event! Saturday was our 3rd Annual 5K and it was quite a success! We had over 180 registrants and 145 finishers! Our Overall Winner was a 14 year old male at 19:25! Thankfully the weather held out, with only a few sprinkles at the start of the race. Everyone enjoyed LIVE music by Paper Airplanes, a Food Truck, Selfie Photo Booth, and of course, BEER (thank you Rolando and Marian) at the finish line. Thank you again to the many behind the scenes volunteers and of course our sponsors. It truly takes a village and great neighbors to make this event possible.
