Seeking Lead Facility/Maintenance worker for Farm

Ovipost seeks a full-time employee who can help with facility maintenance and general farm work. We have 30,000 square feet of indoor farming space where we grow superworms and crickets. Hours are 8am-4pm, Monday - Friday. Reliability is mandatory: We can work with your schedule but planning and communication are a must. ------------------------------- Pay is $14 - $18/hr, depending on experience: $14/hr - Some experience using power tools, basic construction experience - At this rate, you should know how to safely use a drill, a chop saw, and be comfortable with other tools - You should be able to follow instructions and have proficiency working on a variety of repair and maintenance tasks - You should have some amount of experience with construction and/or facility maintenance $16/hr+ - Ability to design solutions and lead a project from start to finish - At this rate, we expect that you can come up with solutions and implement them with little supervision - You should have a significant amount of experience with construction, repairs, and maintenance - Bonus points if you know how to troubleshoot vehicles, change the oil in our tractor, hang door frames, and troubleshoot fixes to miscellaneous objects $18/hr - Advanced maintenance and repair capabilities - You meet basic requirements in the $15/hr list above, plus... - Design and implement a repair/maintenance schedule for our tools, equipment, and buildings - Identify and fix small issues before they become big issues (e.g. find and correct user errors that increase wear and tear and/or endanger the user) - Train employees on using our equipment safely and correctly - Develop rules, guidelines, and processes that help the facility run smoothly ------------------------------- Special Requirements/Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
